Banner bearers  Berne Bendel-Nabozny and her husband Carl Nabozny, were visiting members of Democrats for Germantown, in New York's Hudson Valley.
Island Heights Democrats President Mary Judge leads the puppy march. On her left is Franklin, a Yorkshire Terrier, and her owner Diane Morgan of Lakewood. Further back is show-stealer Darwin followed by Wolfie.
Viewers lined the mile-and-a-half parade route and greeted the Democratic dogs most kindly. Here Daisy the Pug leads the dog pack.
Here the official photographer (not shown) is attacked -- in a nice way -- by Hunter, an enthusiastic and appropriately dressed Gordon Setter. Owner Rosemarie Spedaliere of Bayville is appropriately dressed as well. Mary laughs, but it could have happened to her. To Mary's right is Nova Scotia Retriever Rico and owner Karen Hersey. Rico has been an former Official Democratic Dog.
